The best way I can describe why I’m a graphic designer is a line I heard once, “describing color to a creature without eyes.” The idea of that sounds nutty, but that’s the type of puzzle solving and code cracking that is necessary in graphic design and I enjoy digging around and finding solutions.
There’s also the fact that I get to create cool looking things that come flowing out of my imagination. I get to create motion graphics, which I have a lot of fun doing. There's something about seeing type and objects come alive through motion that excites me. That, along with putting it all to cool sound effects and/or music, makes the sandbox of motion one of the best to play in.
I also love doing illustrations. I've been drawing since I was a child and I've always loved to create characters and pose them in cool ways or give them really inventive weapons and gear. I've always been big into video games and that influences my visual style and tastes. The world around me influences my design work as well, but I've always been more interested in what people make up than what I can actually go see.
